Our Story

Turkish Baklava Queen was born from a simple belief: the world deserves to taste real baklava. Not the supermarket kind. Not the imitation. The real thing — made by hand, in Gaziantep, with Antep pistachios, the way it has been made for five centuries.


Why Gaziantep?

Gaziantep is not just a city in southeastern Turkey — it is the undisputed capital of baklava. The city holds a UNESCO Gastronomy City designation and its baklava carries a protected geographical indication (GI), placing it in the same category as Champagne, Parmigiano-Reggiano, and Darjeeling tea. Only baklava made in Gaziantep, with authentic Antep pistachios, can carry this name.

The secret is the pistachio. Antep pistachios grow in the volcanic soils of southeastern Turkey, under a specific climate that cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world. They are smaller, more intensely flavoured, and more vibrantly green than any other pistachio — and they are the soul of every piece of baklava we send you.


Made by Hand. Every Single Piece.

Our baklava is made by ustalar — master baklava makers who have spent years, sometimes decades, perfecting their craft. The phyllo dough is rolled by hand to extraordinary thinness, sometimes just a single millimetre. The pistachios are freshly ground or left whole depending on the variety. The syrup is prepared to an exact density and poured at precisely the right temperature.

There are no shortcuts in a Gaziantep baklava kitchen. Every shape — from the classic diamond cut to the delicate Nightingale's Nest — requires a different technique, a different hand, a different level of skill. This is not mass production. This is craft.


From Gaziantep to Your Door

We work directly with master producers in Gaziantep to ship your baklava fresh to order. No sitting in a warehouse. No long supply chains. Every box leaves Gaziantep within days of being made and arrives at your door within 2–6 business days depending on your location.

We take the packaging seriously too. Every order is packed with care to protect the delicate phyllo layers during transit, so the first thing you experience when you open your box is exactly what we intended — the crunch, the aroma, the colour of fresh Gaziantep baklava.
